The Navy/DoD provide shuttle bus service for inter-base travel throughout the National Capital Region.

Capital Bikeshare: Capital Bikeshare is metro DC's bikeshare service, with 5,000 bikes and 600+ stations across 7 jurisdictions: Washington, DC.; Arlington, VA; Alexandria, VA; Montgomery, MD; Prince George's County, MD; Fairfax County, VA; and the City of Falls Church, VA.

If you use any type of alternative transportation for your commute, make sure to sign up for the Guaranteed Ride Home program.  It's free and is great insurance that you'll never get stuck at work.
