Lieutenant Commander Adcock, a native of Ft. Wainwright, AK, received his commission from Officer Candidate School in September 2010 after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of North Florida. He also holds a Master of Science from the University of Florida in Civil Engineering with a focus in Infrastructure Management.
Lieutenant Commander Adcock completed Civil Engineer Corps Officer School with Basic Class #249 in May 2011 and reported to his first duty assignment at Naval Support Activity Bahrain as the Deputy Emergency Management Officer and Emergency Response Team Officer-in-Charge. He then reported to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion ELEVEN in May 2012 as the Embarkation Officer, Engineering Operations Officer, and Headquarters Company platoon leader for deployments to Afghanistan and Spain. During his tour, NMCB ELEVEN won two Atlantic Fleet Best of Type, "Battle E" awards and the Meritorious Unit Commendation. He then reported to Office-in-Charge of Construction Camp Lejeune as a construction manager in February 2014. In March 2016, he volunteered for assignment as construction manager at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. Then in March 2017 he reported as the Navy Region Southeast Assistant Regional Engineer Military Action Officer out of Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL. In April 2018, he shifted to the Naval Air Station Jacksonville Public Works Department as the Assistant Public Works Officer. Then from May 2020-2021, he completed a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering program at the University of Florida. His most recently completed tour, from May 2021 to May 2023, was as the Resident Officer-in-Charge of Construction and Operations Officer of Office-in-Charge of Construction Marine Corps Marianas. In May 2023, Lieutenant Commander Adcock assumed duties as Executive Officer, Naval Support Facility Thurmont.
Lieutenant Commander Adcock is Seabee Combat Warfare qualified and a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Florida. He is a member of the Acquisition Professional Community, Level I Facilities Engineering, and Public Works Level II qualified. His personal decorations include the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards) and Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards). He is a member of the Society of American Military Engineers.
