CMDCS Andamo S. McCullough

CMDCS (SW/AW) Andamo S. McCullough enlisted in the Navy at 19 on March 19, 2007, and attended Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL.

His first tour was onboard USS VELLA GULF (CG-72) in Norfolk, VA assigned to the Engineering Electrical Division as a Maintenance Man.  He qualified Enlisted Surface Warrior on his first deployment on the cruiser. Throughout his tour, he completed three Mediterranean Deployments and an INSURV. He was awarded Bluejacket of the Year, Junior Sailor of the Year, and qualified Engineering Officer of the watch before he transferred to UNITED STATES NAVAL ACADEMY, Annapolis, MD (USNA) as an Electrician’s Mate Petty Officer Second Class.  

He reported to the NAVAL ACADEMY in December of 2012 and immediately started to fill the role of the Workcenter Supervisor of the Electrical Division. After promotion to First Class Petty Officer, he became the Leading Petty Officer (LPO) for a division that consisted of Electronic Technicians, Interior Communication Specialists, and Electrician’s Mates. Later he was assigned as the LPO for Detachment Bravo and completed one Summer Block cruise in 2015.   


He reported to LCS Squadron One (COMLCSRON One) in December 2015. During his tour, he served onboard USS JACKSON (LCS-6), USS CORONADO (LCS-4), and USS FORT WORTH (LCS-3). He completed Shock Trials (FSST), a deployment on the USS CORONADO, and was selected to Chief Petty Officer in September 2017.  


He reported to USS RAFAEL PERALTA (DDG 115) on December 21, 2017. He served as the Electrical Division Leading Chief Petty Officer until May 2021, attaining a second Engineering Officer of the Watch Qualification and qualifying as Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist.  

McCullough served as the Regional Alcohol and Drug Control Officer (ADCO) for Naval District Washington (NDW) before reporting to the USS GEORGE H. W. BUSH (CVN-77) in June 2023. He is currently stationed at Naval Support Activity Annapolis where he serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader.  


Senior Chief McCullough has a Bachelor of Science in Digital Cinematography. Additionally, he graduated with honors from Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 252, Red Team) and has attended the CMC/COB Course (24080). His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3) and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (9) and various unit, service, and campaign medals.
