Webster Outyling Field is home to Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) 4.11 which comprises seven dynamic divisions that provide unique and much needed fleet support for many DOD critical systems.
These divisions are: Rapid Development Systems Engineering, Combat Integration & Identification Systems, Ship & Air Integrated Warfare, Special Communications Mission Solutions, Engineering Prototyping & Business OPS, Advanced Concepts & Rapid Transition, and Air Traffic Control & Landing Systems.
- Rapid Development Systems Engineering
Supports the AIRWorks concept by interfacing with other NAVAIR organizations to team expertise and skills to develop more complete customer solutions. Enculturates Rapid Development, Rapid Prototyping, and Lead Systems Integration to deliver product-based capabilities to solve warfighter requirements.
- Combat Integration & Identification Systems
Designs, integrates, installs, and tests combat and identification systems used throughout the Navy, Marine Corps, and other DoD Commands at shore stations, aboard submarines, and surface combatants, to include Coast Guard vessels and foreign military sales combat ships.
- Ship & Air Integrated Warfare
Develops, integrates, and installs Interoperable Warfighting Capabilities including C4ISR, Combat Systems, Information Systems, and Mission Systems onboard ships, both manned and unmanned aircraft, and at shore stations that enable the warfighter to fight and win.
- Special Communications Mission Solutions
Develops and delivers C4ISR solutions for the warfighter for Joint Intelligence Systems, Crisis Response & Interoperable Communications, Mobile/Deployable C4 Integration, Network Engineering & Operation Centers, and SOF Direct C4.
- Engineering Prototyping & Business OPS
Provides shipboard antenna landing systems re-certification, site frequency coordination, Antenna Range & WOLF Frequency Management, Mechanical Shops, and Environmental Lab for Rapid Capability Engineering and Integration.
- Advanced Concepts & Rapid Transition
Integration, installation, and testing for technology demonstrations of sensors and weapon systems and technology transition support for future Navy and DoD initiatives.
- Air Traffic Control & Landing Systems
Operates as the Center of Excellence in Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems (ATC&LS) over the past 40 years providing cradle to grave support for Air Traffic Management Systems, Shipboard/Expeditionary ATC&LS, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), including 24/7 fleet support.
