Representatives from the naval air station investigate all phone and written inquiries related to a noise event within one business day, and will follow-up with the person reporting the disturbance.

Naval Air Station Patuxent River maintains a comprehensive Noise Management Program to identify and mitigate noise impacts to the community by responding to noise disturbance reports.

Citizens are encouraged to express their concerns regarding noise generated from the naval air station by contacting the station's Noise Management Team by phone, email or mail.

The team mans a toll-free noise hotline on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. In the event no one is available to receive the call in person, callers should to leave their name, contact information and a description of the event so the Noise Management Team can provide them with a response.

NAS PAX RIVER sets noise advisory for October 03 through November 15, 2024
 
NAVAL AIR STATION PATUXENT RIVER, Md. – Communities surrounding the naval air station and Wallops Island VA are advised that nighttime flights are scheduled to take place in your vicinity on October 03 through November 15, 2024 from 6:00pm to 4:00am.
In an effort to lessen the disturbance of these missions, we have instructed our pilots to fly the lowest altitude portion of their flights prior to midnight, when possible.
These missions are crucial to our national security.
Keep in mind that there are a multitude of factors that could shift the scheduling and execution of these flights, which are always conducted in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration and Navy regulations.
NAS Patuxent River appreciates your understanding and will continue to take precautions to lessen the impact of flight operations on the community.  For more information call 1-866-819-9028.
