Admiral Gooding Center

The Admiral Gooding Center (AGC) is a venue for collaborative meetings, training and workshops.

 

Available at no cost for official Department of Navy events On-site event and technical support Information technology support includes wireless NMCI workstations, video teleconferencing with bridging options, Defense Collaborative Services (DCS) web based conferencing tool and an interactive audience voting system. Ability to host controlled access events.

Event and Technical Support
The AGC Staff is ready to guide you through your planning process from its inception to its conclusion. Our event and technical representatives are assigned to help you design the optimal combination of spaces, arrangements and equipment to maximize the effectiveness of your event.

 

Collaboratory Room
At approximately 4,300 square feet, our Collaboratory (Collab) room has a fully configurable seating arrangement and can accommodate seating for up to 270 attendees in a theatre layout and up to 156 in a classroom layout.  The room can also be configured into three individual rooms (main room plus one or two breakout rooms) using ceiling mounted, sound dampening wall partitions.

 

Strategic Room
At approximately 1,000 square feet, our Strategic Planning (Strat) room has a fully configurable seating arrangement and can accommodate up to 60 people in a theatre layout and up to 36 in a classroom layout.

 

Planning Room
The Planning Room can accommodate up to 10 people in a board room style seating layout.

 

Flag Room
The Flag Room can accommodate up to 8 people in a board room style seating layout.

 

Common Area
The Common Area has the potential to be used as a break out room for up to 8 people in a board room style seating layout.

 

Refreshment and Preparatory Areas
Located on the 2nd floor balcony and in the kitchen, the refreshments and preparatory areas provide space for event attendees to take breaks, network and/or socialize.

 

Guest Services
The Guest Services Suite provides two NMCI PCs, commercial/DSN phones and a multi-function device for printing, copying and scanning for event attendees’ use.

 

Lobby/Registration Area
Located on the first floor/lobby, the Admiral Gooding Center’s lobby/registration area provides desk space for the client to sign in an event’s participants and registrants, and where an event’s attendees can use an elevator or follow the staircase directly up vto event rooms.
