The Naval Academy Dairy Farm, located in Gambrills, Maryland, is an 857-acre Navy property managed by Naval Support Activity (NSA) Annapolis. The land was originally purchased by the Navy in 1909 for the establishment of a farm to supply dairy products to the Brigade of Midshipmen at the U.S. Naval Academy. The farm once maintained approximately 300 cows and a staff of 15, providing 700 – 1,000 gallons of milk per day. Operations ceased in 1997 in order to reduce installation management costs.
The farm is currently leased to Anne Arundel County, Maryland.
