Environmental Assessment for Recreational Vehicle Park

Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), as implemented by the Council on Environmental Quality Regulations, the Department of the Navy (DON) is preparing an Environmental Assessment (EA) for a proposed Recreational Vehicle Facility at NSA Annapolis.
The U.S. Navy held a public scoping meeting at Naval Support Activity (NSA) Annapolis on June 12, explaining the Environmental Assessment (EA) for a proposed Recreational Vehicle (RV) Park at Naval Support Activity Annapolis. The purpose of the meeting was to solicit public input on the proposed action, alternatives and the resources in the EA. More than 60 people attended the meeting and were able to engage directly with Navy representatives who provided information related to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) process and EA schedule, the Proposed Action and alternatives/locations, action alternatives screening factors, and the alternatives considered but dismissed. During the meeting, the public was able to submit comments, which are being carefully reviewed.
