Command Philosophy

COMMAND PHILOSOPHY

PRIDE. You are a United States Navy Sailor and a member of the elite U.S. Navy Ceremonial Guard – be proud of that. We have been given a distinct honor and privilege to serve at this command. Always strive for excellence in all that you do and be proud of your accomplishments.

PROFESSIONALISM. Know your job. Continue to hone your skills, expand your knowledge, and increase your qualifications. Hold yourself to our Navy’s core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment; hold others accountable as well. Your actions and how you carry yourself speaks volumes about who you are and what you represent.

TEAMWORK. We are only as strong as our weakest link. Encourage, support, and motivate each other to do their best. Treat others with the utmost dignity and respect. Don’t ask of others what you would not do yourself. Our success will be determined by how well we work together as one team.

TRUST. Trust is the cornerstone of our Navy and this command. As you put your faith and trust in me to lead you as your Commanding Officer, I trust you to do your part to be morally, mentally, and physically prepared to accomplish our mission. Concurrently, effective communication up and down the chain of command is vital to our success. Open and honest dialogue will only strengthen trust.

HOO-YAH Honor Guard!
